The Zahal Masada is an Armored backpack, which has innocent looking from the outside, but when needed it transforms into a full bulletproof vest I a matter of seconds. The Zahal Masada is perfect for civilians and Law enforcement that do not want to draw attention to themselves but yet want to be protected should the situation require.
The Masada Backpack comes with level IIIA protection panels all around. the Masada backpack Vest is made to withstand handgun rounds, shotgun rounds, and shrapnel and can be upgraded to withstand rifle fire. It can also be used as a regular backpack to carry books, a laptop, and other everyday carry items. The vest is concealed in a separate compartment of the backpack giving the wearer 100% concealment even when accessing the standard compartment for the EDC items. The Masada backpack also comes in a military version
The front vest includes molle loops giving the option to attach accessories such as holsters, magazines pouches, and flashlights

Can I carry the Masada Backpack on an Airplane?
Generally, body armor is allowed in carry-on or checked bags. Please note however that even if an item is generally allowed, TSA officers make the final decision on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.

Yes, You are allowed to take it anywhere you like.

What does the Masada protect from?
The IIIA Protection panels are in the back, front, and sides. They protect from the most commonly used handgun rounds (see Calibers in on the product page).
Can the Masada stop rifle fire?
The Masada can be upgraded in the front and the back with III+ light ceramic plates that will upgrade the protection level to withstand rifles fire.

In all the pictures I see the front panel appears to be riding too low, exposing the wearer’s upper esophagus and spinal area. Is this a problem with how the vest deploys over the head that the straps have to be too long for the panel to end up in the right place?

Good but could be better for the price. The shoulder strap pads are basic the Velcro dose hot hold the front carrier in place when moving and the shoulder straps are narrow I will use it because it is better than nothing in a emergency but for the price it could at least have proper padding so if you upgrade your armor it is still Comfortable

As a P/O I would like to purchase this as a replacement for my duty bag but given that I’m already wearing soft armor I have no need for the included inserts. I would rather like to purchase the product without and store rifle rated plates in it instead for active shooter situations. Do you intend to sell the product without soft armor inserts in the future?
